PVD magnetron sputtering coating equipment

Coating products is done to make them better usable. For example, we coat cars to give them anti-oxidation and anti-aging properties; we coat lenses to make eyeglasses more wear-resistant and provide functions such as anti-oil stains, anti-radiation, and anti-blue light.

When encountering situations where the coated product peels off during vacuum coating, is it due to improper operation or some other reason? We have compiled several factors that affect coating quality and would like to share them with you.

The primer was not fully cured.

The curing time of the primer should be extended. The plating parts were not thoroughly degreased.

Pre-plating treatment should be strengthened; the vacuum chamber is not clean.

The vacuum chamber should be cleaned. It is important to note that during target loading and unloading, it is strictly forbidden to allow hands or unclean objects to come into contact with the magnetron source to ensure its high cleanliness.

Dirty fixture

The clamps should be cleaned.

Improper primer selection

----The primer should be replaced.

Inadequate control of process conditions

------Process conditions should be improved

Furthermore, excessively thick film materials are prone to detachment. If a metal substrate is used, heating the substrate can improve the detachment situation.

At the same time, selecting a high-quality target material is crucial.
